Luckily one of the staff at the little quick serve restaurant was a gem and was more than happy to heat up her meal and told her to come back any time and they'd help her out.

After checking that there wasn't anything in the restaurants that didn't have corn, wheat, soy, or peanuts, she politely asked at the front desk if there was a microwave on site she could heat up her food because of her allergies to other available options and the rude clerk sniped that microwaves are a fire hazard and there isn't ANY on site so she'd have to figure out another way to eat. No fridges or microwaves in the room, which is a pain and somewhat outdated for any mid-level hotel. My traveling companion has a number of serious food allergies and always has to bring food from home in order to feed herself. She just rolled her eyes and said that I must be doing something wrong. I explained that I didn't keep it near my phone or other cards, my purse doesn't have a magnetic clasp, and kept it in the little paper slip sheet they provide. When I asked about that, the front desk clerk made a flippant remark about how I didn't know how to store it. My room key stopped working daily so I had to have both cards re-programmed every day we were there. To get a pass you'll need your photo ID, cut to me traipsing all the way back to my room in my bathing suit to get my ID and waiting in another line just to get the pass no one bothered to tell me about at check-in. Check in wasn't an issue as we arrived well after 3 pm, but the front desk staff doesn't bother to mention that to use the pool area you'll need a pass. The front desk staff need significant improvements on their training or maybe just to not be in customer service to begin with. I was hoping I'd find that other reviewers just had isolated bad experiences with the staff.
